Who didn’t love letting their imagination run wild with LEGO toys when they were growing up? Of course, that came with the very real risk of stepping on a wayward LEGO block barefoot in the middle of the night, a unique pain that was ultimately worth the risk for the joy these toys can bring. These days, LEGO blocks are used to build a variety of things, be it scenes from your favorite movie, or perhaps your favorite truck, such as the Chevy Silverado. Ahead of the next LEGO movie, Chevy had 18 LEGO Master Builders create a full-size version of the 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss. How many LEGO pieces are in the full-size LEGO Chevy Silverado? A whopping 334,544! Read ahead to find out more fun facts about this unique build!

LEGO Chevrolet Silverado Facts and Figures

This full-size replica of the beastly Chevy pickup truck was designed and built in the LEGO Group’s Model Shop in Connecticut and took over 2,000 hours for its 18 builders to assemble. Each piece was hand-selected and placed by the LEGO Master Builders. The result, in addition to having 334,544 pieces, weighs 3,307 pounds and is six feet high, 20 feet long, and eight feet wide. In this particular instance, as you can likely guess by the photo, the most common LEGO brick used was a red 2×8 stud brick. The LEGO Silverado even has working lights and graphic details!

This is the second time Chevrolet has been involved with a LEGO feature film; the first was in the creation of the full-size LEGO Batmobile in 2017, which was displayed in auto shows for attendees to see that year.
