Chevy partnered with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) in order to bring the ZR2 Bison to life. AEV is a premium off-road aftermarket manufacturer whose products are meticulously crafted to provide a superior off-road experience. The Colorado ZR2 Bison copies its Colorado ZR2 sibling with its class-exclusive front and rear locking electronic differentials, segment-exclusive Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, off-road rocker protection, cast-iron control arms and Autotrac transfer case. As well as 3.5-inch wider front and rear tracks, modified rear axle and features a factory suspension lifted 2-inches compared to the Colorado Z71. The Bison also adds the options for a 186-horsepower, 2.8-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine that is matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can also choose from a crew cab with short bed or an extended cab with long bed. AEV will also have an available accessory snorkel for the ZR2 Bison that customers can buy separately.

From its exclusive, flow-through lettered grille-which replaces the traditional bowtie-to its 31-inc Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires, the new ZR2 Bison is ready for anything. It even has larger fender flares and ZR2 Bison-specific 17 by 8-inch aluminum wheels. Plus, it looks extremely good with Bison decals on the bed sides, “AEV Bison” logo on the tailgate and even AEV embroidered logos on the floor liners and front head restraints.

The 2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison will go on sale during January 2019 and will be backed by a full factory limited warranty.
