WHAT IS COVERED UNDER A NEW CHEVY WARRANTY?

So, what is actually covered under a new Chevy warranty? Well that may depend on which model year you’re talking about. Here, we’ll focus on details for the 2018 model year, though these coverages will likely apply to other years as well.

Chevy’s Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty

Let’s start with the Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty. As the name suggest, it covers a wide variety of parts and equipment from one end of the vehicle to the other.

This coverage lasts for 3 years or 36,000 miles… whichever comes first. You also have the peace of mind of knowing that there is no deductible. So, if you recently bought a new Chevy and need repairs, we hope you’ll return to us or your nearby Chevy dealer to take advantage of this warranty coverage.

Chevy’s Powertrain Limited Warranty

Now, the engine is another aspect of the vehicle that you’re going to want well-covered. Because it is particularly important to your vehicle, it has its own warranty apart from the Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty.

The Powetrain Limited Warranty on your new Chevy vehicle lasts for 5 years or 60,000 miles… whichever comes first. At least, that’s the case with most vehicles. If you purchased a 2018 2500 or 3500 Series Heavy Duty pickup, the warranty lasts for up to 5 years or 100,000 miles.

Now, there are a number of additional coverages that your vehicle could be eligible for, including an Electric Hybrid Warranty or Emission Control System Limited Warranty. Additional coverages on newly purchased 2018 models also include two maintenance visits within the first 2 years or 24,000 miles, an oil/filter change and more.
