The Equinox is the second-best selling vehicle in the Chevrolet lineup, behind the Silverado, and it is easy to see why. The Equinox is a sleek and versatile crossover SUV that offers much in the way of cargo capacity as well as fuel efficiency that can keep your bank account happy. With a new year comes a new version of this vehicle, and while it is largely a carryover from the 2018 version (which saw a major redesign from the previous iterations), the new year is still offering new features. Let’s take a look at what’s new on the 2019 Chevy Equinox.

Upgrades for the 2019 model year

The 2019 Chevy Equinox is available in four trims: L, LS, LT, and Premier. The first thing you might notice is the addition of two new exterior colors: Pacific Blue Metallic and Kinetic Blue Metallic. For 2019, a few new packages are being made available. This includes the Lights and Bright package on the 1LT trim, which offers 19-inch bright-machined wheels with Sparkle Silver pockets, LED headlights, LED taillights, and chrome grille surround. Other new packages include the LS Convenience package and LT Appearance package.

Also new for 2019 is an available eight-inch diagonal color HD touchscreen radio with navigation, which is a bit of a boost from the standard seven-inch screen. If you’re looking to charge your smartphones on a lengthy road trip, you’ll be pleased to know that four USB ports are now standard with the 2019 Equinox. If you need even more, two additional USB ports, an auxiliary input jack, and an SD card reader are available.

The standard Rear Vision Camera and the available Surround Vision have both been upgraded with HD views, giving you an even clearer image. Finally, Front Pedestrian Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control are available on the Premier trim.
